Online learning

Why is this a challenge and how can you help?

It is especially difficult for students with ADHD to navigate online learning. As circumstances continue to change, some students are toggling back and forth between in-person and online learning. Organization, clear expectations, and plentiful opportunities to have a break from the screen are key for success.

Tips

  • Use an agenda and a structured daily schedule.

  • Frequent breaks from sitting and from the screen - Go take a walk outside. Do a 5-minute yoga break.

  • Get the students engaged with peers in person if possible.
